White Letter Tires and Christmas Lights

This is for the people who pm'd me about what the Goodyear Fortera Tires looked like (white letters out). These tires are stock size.

Re: White Letter Tires and Christmas Lights

Well.....I like it, especially with the white truck.

Did you need tires or did you switch them out for performance reasons?

Thank you. I had 5/32nd's on the OEM tire after 40,000 miles. I switched because I knew I would need new ones right in the middle of snow season and I figured better be safe than sorry. The new tires are as good as the OEM tires on dry road (hardly any noise) and better in the snow so far with one slick ice and snow event a few weeks ago. BTW: I am no photographer so the pictures aren't the greatest.

A real flashback to the '70's. Thanks for the nostalgic pic.
BTW, is that a Playboy bunny on your front plate?

Re: White Letter Tires and Christmas Lights

The front plate has an eagle with his wings spread...not a bunny lol. Why is this pic nostalgic? Is it the white letter tires or the colored lights? Where I live most new trucks and SUV's come stock with white letter tires. Most people in our neighborhood (and town) decorate outside with lots and lots of lights. Around here, we could care less about the flap of "Happy Holidays" vs. "Merry Christmas". The good thing about living in a small town in the mountains is life is much simpler here. Merry Christmas everyone and remember why we celebrate this holiday. Back to the truck: I went with these tires because - 1) Really high rated 2) A little more agressive tread 3) OWL tires are cool (to me) 4) The ride is still very smooth and the handling still superb. Thanks for the comments. One last thing: I will still try to help in my own limited way with comments (usually to posters concerning VSA and VTM-4) even though this board is going through a few changes right now. Post On!
