Smile Full Size Spare Tire - 17" Honda Alloy

Hi to All...I finally got my full size spare tire! Hate the "bike size spare"! Plus, we go too often off-road, no tire shops around! Was shopping for some time, needed the exact same original LTX on 17" alloy, too expensive buying new from dealer, here in Canada total approx. CAD$800.00. I found most dealers have brand new rims and tires, both alloy and steel, from new customers that change to custom rims... So, managed to get my brand new full size alloy for CAD$200.00!!! That's cheaper than the LTX tire itself, here in Canada around CAD$250.00. So, if you are looking for the same deal, check it out with the dealers parts managers, they'll fix you up! Cheers

I usually have summer and winter tires on rims... I just keep one of 'the other tires' in the trunk. I have seldom needed a spare. I don't wear them down to the belts. Good rubber is a must.

Re: Full Size Spare Tire - 17" Honda Alloy

I just bought a 2007 EX-L (RTL) rim from a ROC member earlier this week. Nice rim, matches the others and cost me $41!!! (no tpms or rubber though).

Best deal around!

Does anyone know if I can add a tpms to my full-size spare without messing up the system? It is my understanding that the Honda system can only monitor 4 sensors.

Also, anyone know the cost of an OEM tpsm?

I know that I could get away without one but I am one of those anal people who want everything to match and work properly.

I have one currently on my RL. No problems here so, I guess you can have a spare with TPMS and not have any issues.

I asked my local Honda dealer and they gave me a quote for $24 USD per valve stem and TPMS. Hope this helps.
