Stock Truck Tire Upgrade
I am about due for new tires, and I want to go a little larger than stock, then eventually add a 2" lift in the future.
What larger size tire will fit on factory wheels and factory suspension without rubbing? A bit bigger and badder, without being a problem prior to any suspension changes. |

BamBam...
I've switched to the 275/60/17 Yokohama Geolander. They provide a nice quiet ride, better handling, and are cheaper than the stock Michelins. I felt that at the time they were a much better value. Also, there's absolutely no rubbing and look more trucklike than the OEM tires. Just my two-cents.. Best of luck. |

Re: Stock Truck Tire Upgrade
Florida-Steve...
Which Yoko Geolanders did you go with, as there are several different models. If the original tires are 245/65/17 that would work out to a 29.5" tall tire. Your 275/60/17 tire would then be around 30" (and around the same height as a 255/65/17). Do you think there is room to go a littel taller than you have now, like to a 265/65/17 ? Should I be more concerned about adding more height or width to the tires before I get into a rubbing/clearance situation. Also, does your 275/60 tire fit onto the factory rims? Thanks for the help! |

If your considering a lift then this thread is a must read: Definitive Lift Kit Thread
A discussion of tires is also within this thread. I have found that 30.5" tires on the stock rims is max. Good luck!
