Re: 265/65/17
I have 265/60/18s which are the same overal size as the 265/65/17s. I have a 2" Rancho lift and they fit perfect. I think that is the best size for a lifted ridge if you want to do no major mods. The speedometer is off less than 5%. The only bad thing is that they dont make more 265/65/17s in an A/T tire.

Re: 265/65/17
Are you looking for off-road or on-road? Are you averse to cutting or removing mudflaps?

Re: 265/65/17
not totally adverse of removing or cutting mud flaps... but, kinda hesitant to grinding down/smoothing out the pinch weld though...
like the nitto grapplers as for AT or the Toyos for road |

Re: 265/65/17
I don't think that Nitto makes a 265/65/17. I know that they make a 265/70/17, but they will rub. I am pretty sure you will have to grind on the weld. Toyo does make a 265/65/17 Open Country tire, and they are the same tread pattern (same company too, I believe) as Nitto. They have different sidewalls though. And they are more expensive.
I made the mistake of buying the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors. I think some people here have had good luck with them in 17s but stay far away from the 265/60/R18s. I had 3 of them replaced and they still wobbled and could not be balanced. I finally replaced them with some Coopers.
