Swapping out Steel Wheels on RT need some advise

I'm swapping out my steel wheels on my RT for new Honda OEM alloy ones. My truck only got 3000 miles on it so I'm keeping my tires, just getting them mounting on new wheels. So I'm looking for any pitfalls I might encounter. Any advise would be helpful..
TPMS, Lug nuts, Should I worry about having a tire shop do it vs. the dealer.

Thanks

Update:

For anyone who want to swap out their Steel wheels for Aluminum OEM Wheels, Here are the Pitfall that I encountred and what you could at least expect to pay.

Whats needed..
Of Course!!! Wheels... I see sets of 4 going anywhere from 150-300 on ebay all the time.

You'll need to purchase 20 Aluminum wheel Lug Nuts, Part Number 90304-SHJ-A91. I see them Online for about $3 each = $60

You'll need Four new valve stem Assy, Not 100% but you're old ones might fit. However it may not be worth the Trouble! Just replace them.
The part number for the New valve Assy is 06422-S3V-A03 and they run about $8 online = $32

The TPMS sensor these you should beable to resue, and you shouldn't have to repalce them.
If you do... Because there are two different part numbers for the 06 VS. 07 Aluminum Wheels get them online... About $33 each online

Mount/Dismount/Balance
I called around and found tire shops that would do it for any where between $20 -$35 A wheel.

Please see Install guide

My Pitfalls
I Purchased 4 OEM 07 RTS silver painted Aluminum Wheels From E-bay $247 total. This went smooth!! Then I started getting prices on doing the wheel swap. One of my concerns was having a tire shop with a Hunter GPS9700 Road Force machine. I wanted a very good balance! Hunters web site helped me locate a shop with this machine. I saw my local dealer had one, and I called to get a quote; they told me $15 a wheel to do the swap. I was thinking Wow, that's cheap... So I ended up going to the dealer to get the job done. My fist mistake. They put my new wheels on and charged me $60, however they made the mistake of reusing my old steel lugs on aluminum wheels. This is a NO NO.. My lugs came loose while driving home, which could of caused serious damage or injury to me and my RL. GET THE RIGHT LUGS. The dealer didn't charge me for new Valve Assy so I figure they reused my old ones. I would of spent the $32 for new ones. In a Lug Nutshell Get the Right Lugs, Stems, and wheels, before you find a place to do the swap.

I am sure you will need new lug nuts. the 08 machined use different ones then the 07 painted that are different then the steel. Just move tpms to new rims with the new tires.

Yes, I think you still do. Best to call your local honda parts guy and ask. Same with the TPMS, just not sure

I cannot say with any degree of certainty that the '07 RT Steel Wheel Lug Nut would work on the '07 Alloy Wheel. I would go to the parts dept of your local dealership and have them do the comparison for you.

The Alloy Wheel Lug Nuts are chromed, I don't think that's the case on the RT Steel Wheel. I could be wrong, though. If they're not chromed, I'm sure you would want to buy the Chromed Nuts just to complete the "look".

The possible incompatibility of the lug nuts is a safety issue, be sure to check it out. Better safe than sorry!

You will need new lug nuts. Also the TPMS valve stems are different (shorter) on the Alloy than the Steel (all you need are the stems for about $12 each not the whole TPMS and the old TPMS will screw onto the new stems). That's about it as I know first hand since I helped do the swap myself at my buddy's tire shop. I'd suggest talking to a local shop before you have the dealer do it.

Bob is right, new lugs and stems will be needed. Luckily mine swapped over when I did the Acura wheel swap.

Will a standard Tire shop have the stem, and can I get the lugs from NAPA, or do I have to go with the dealer to get Stems and Lugs

Make sure your new tires are torqued upon installation. If they are just tighten down with an air wrench without torquing them, there is a chanced they may crack. Then re-torque your new alloy wheels at 50 to 100 miles after they are installed.

Any good aftermarket tire and wheel shop should have the stems and lugs, although they may be cheaper through Honda.

The stems are $8.44 each. The lug nuts are $2.59 each.
