Tire rotate resetting tire monitor system

Good day Ridgeline owners. I have a question maybe it has been asked before but cannot find it. I went to have my tires rotated and they told me they had to reset the tire monitor system. I took it to the same place at 6000 to have it done and nothing was said about it. At 12000 I did it myself and no problems, now the say they have to reset it or else it will mess it up. Any body else run into this? Thanks! P.S. I also have a driver seat that rocks back and forth, I thought I was the only one.

There's nothing to reset. Rotate all you want.

Welcome to the ROC... If they are charging you for the reset, go request your money and then contact the BBB... You have been scammed...

Re: Tire rotate resetting tire monitor system

I rotate my own tires. No reset necessary! Sounds like a ripoff if they charged you anything extra for that!

Re: Tire rotate resetting tire monitor system

I know that on some Toyota vehicles you have to reset it or a light comes on, but seems like nothing to reset for the Ridgeline. I've rotated many times (Swapping between aftermarket and stock rims) and no problems.
