Two kinds of Michelin LTX M/S?
I went to TireRack.com to browse for new tires: and there are two LTX M/S tires that appear almost the same
The "SR" rated one is $229 on "closeout" while the "TR" rated one is $167. What's up with this? Why shouldn't I get the "TR" rated tires? |

Re: Two kinds of Michelin LTX M/S?
Good question. Normally I would warn you about one or the other having a load range C but that doesn't appear to be the case here. The more expensive tire looks a bit softer and has a lower speed rating, and is on closeout. Looks like the cheaper tire is a newer model. Call them and ask.
