some cars do need reprogrammed. My Dad's Caddy thought the wheels were in all the wrong spots after he rotated the tires himself. When it came up saying left rear was low he had to check them all to find which one it thought was the left rear.

The GM TPMS I'm familiar with operates differently than Honda's. On my wife's car the TPMS has a much more complicated calibration procedure. It includes actually lowering the pressure of each tire while using the key fob to identify which wheel is being taught.

On the plus side, the information center displays the actual pressure of each tire.
