without a lift does anyone recommend a certain tire that has lots of meat and as wide as possible

My spam filter usually catches titles like this one.
Just try to stay under 31" in diameter. The rubbing issue is lateral, not up/down. I'm running Wrangler SA 245/70/17 at 30.6" in diameter.
