Thanks, shovelhd. I can proceed with confidence now.

Costco.

Payed for my years membership @ Costco with what I saved over any other source close to me. Ordering them over the internet, and having them shipped seems like too much of a hassle.

Re: Have You Bought Tires From TireRack.com

having used TireRack in the past I can concur with what others here are reporting; however, you might want to check your local Costco (as xRidgelinex suggested) as their prices might be comparable and it would be a bit more convenient. Three of the things that I like the best about TireRack (other than their excellent prices) are their outstanding, in-depth tire reviews, wide selection and comprehensive list of "authorized" installers. btw, the only reason that I didn't purchase my Goodyear Fortera TripleTred tires from them last year was that they were heavily back-ordered when Goodyear came off their strike and my local dealer was able to get them for me more quickly (plus he matched their price) and I was desperate to get them mounted on my white wheels that had been sitting in the garage for over two months.

btw, thanks to you , I used them recently to purchase my Valeo "Ultimate" wiper blades at their buy one, get one free (BOGO) offer at $19.95 for the pair, which is still running. I've now had several rain and snow/sleet storms in which to test these and think they're terrific.

Re: Have You Bought Tires From TireRack.com

I bought a set for our Pilot and had them shipped to our house. It was much cheaper then going to a local tire place even with the shipping. I then took them to WalMart to have them installed. I'll never do that again....It was cheap to install but took way too long. Either way, I got a set of four for the pilot for about 350 installed. Much cheaper than the local places.

Happy to be of service Moose, it's not like I haven't used your LCD monitor and PC recommendations.

OK, it's time I clarified the Pizza Man thing.

Pizza Man is a nickname that was given to me by fellow ROC'ers because I'm of Italian descent. The name stuck, I was given the avatar and eventually I was permitted to change my screen name.

I do make Pizza, true. I'm told it's pretty good, but I've had better. I even work our Church's Canivale each year. You guessed it, I make the Pizza. But, I am by no means a great cook. Sometime's my wife will call me Pizza Man, but again, only because I'm Italian. She also calls me Tony, Guido and when I do something brazen she'll even call me Stugots!

Trust me, it's just a nickname.

that (and your heritage) makes you a pizza chef in my book! one of our best friends up in VT (also of Italian ancestry) retired from a career on the road in the garment industry just over a year ago, got bored within a couple of months and is now working 12-14 hour days in his very own pizza parlor! given this, perhaps there's a more intense involvement in the fine art of pizza construction in your future!

Well, in my area there's a Pizza Shop every three blocks! I already have a standing invitation to come and work in my favorite one.

But, that's because he sees my Pizza Man Decal on the back of my Ridgeline all the time. He thinks I know what I'm doing!
