That's the missing piece of the puzzle for my rims. I bought one extra center cap and didn't like it all black. I'm not too fond of the silver either. That is exactly what I am going to do!

THANK YOU!

Stock wheels aren't bad, but I've got an itchy "gotta change everything" gene and when EBay offered a 10 percent off coupon, I couldn't pass em up. Install was simple, just slap the @#%& around the edges until the little plastic clips grab the inside of the wheel. OOOHHHH!!! SHINNY!!!! My neighbor even asked when I upgraded to Chrome. I told him I made a killing in the plastics market. So, I'll show you mine if you show me yours.
LET THE FLAMMING BEGIN

And yes, that is part of the inner wheel well dropping down on the drivers front tire. A present from the 22" when the airbags dropped the truck to the ground. Still working on a permament fix, (Duct tape for now) but it looks like I'll have to replace all four inner wheelwells soon.
RustyH, that is one sweet looking Ridgeline, regardless of what kind of wheels you put on it. You definitely get the "Eye Candy Award!" Love that paint job!

Re: Show off your Chrome Plastic Rims!!!!!

I was curious when you put on the chrome skins, does the wheel balancing weight cause the cover to bulge out a bit or not fit flush? will those go over the steel RT rims or just the aluminum rims on the RTX or RTL?

I figure in a year or two when the road salt up here eats away at my steel rims, i could just cover them up with a pair of chrome covers.

Re: Show off your Chrome Plastic Rims!!!!!

shamrock--they have a foam backing which is around 1/8" - 1/4" thick, which causes the skins to stick out past the wheel edge, thereby clearing the weights easily. That's the part I don't like--it seems they could flush mount on the wheel edge and not hit anything. I've seen the plastic skins for the steel RT wheels, and IMO, they look better than the alloy covers.

Yeah, what he said, except the part about them looking better. The foams backing is less than an 1/8" and from 5 feet away, I think you'd be hard pressed to tell that they're plastic chrome covers. You can find steel covers on ebay...

Re: Show off your Chrome Plastic Rims!!!!!

Rusty-I had hoped that the covers would have been like my Ram "chrome skins" which were were right up against the wheel, and couldn't be distinguished from real chrome wheels. That said, these look good or i wouldn't have put them on. Speaking of looking good, who painted your Ridgeline?

A custom painter in Dallas Texas did the work. I have the name of the company written down, but I'll have to wait till I get back home in a week to get it to you. The airbag work was done in Dallas also, by ekstensive metalworks.

That painter is great--he smoothed out the rather "block" or chunky look by where he chose to put the dividing line--sweet!
