Not sure about the RL, but some rotors are a composite bi-metal or tri-metal. Aren't the rear rotors solid? I wouldn't want holes in mine. And for vented rotors, you would need to know the vein configuration beneath the rotor surface to keep from drilling the wrong spot and weakening the structure.

Re: black rims??

I couldn't decide what color ridge I wanted until I saw a Black RT Ridge on the show room floor with black alloys! It looked so tough I knew right away I was going to get a RTL leather, Sun Roof, w/o Nav. in black and powder coat my rims black. That dealer added $1,000 for'em. Forget that! I'm having mine powder coated by a friend for free. Normally it will only cost you about $250.00 and three hours on the blocks.

Re: black rims??

OK, I'm sure everyone is sick of me posting my pix by now, but since you asked...

(I'm just a proud papa, I guess)

255/50/R20 Toyo Proxes S/T
ARA AR1 20" No hub centric rings or adjustments are necessary on this wheel.

It rides and handles great. I am VERY happy!

Re: black rims??

I found this wheel.. and even though it cost a bit over my budget, i am going to get them anyway. its a sweet looking wheel and looks even better in person.

i have the silver ridgeline so these will look nice with the chrome bars and accents. its about 50% black and 50% chrome.. with a nice deep lip.. think i will get 20", but i am considering 22" as well.. not sure..

check em out..

Re: black rims??

We just bought a RT in Black...there was one at the dealership that looked just like yours, same wheels. They wanted $3500 for the combo though so we knew not to buy wheels from a dealer :-)

I wonder if anyone has gone with a more meaty look rather than 20's. More 4X4...

Re: black rims??

Honda Man:

I have black 22's on my Black Ridge which is also lowered 2.5" (Darth Honda as soon as I get the front windows tinted) with no regrets or clearance problems - handles much tighter and you can really throw it into the corners with wild abandon. My wheels are also BSA 342s which I bought very reasonably from BestWheels.

Good luck on finding aftermarket drilled/slotted rotors. I found only one company that would provide slotted rotors, and they wanted $270 per axle - a bit pricey for cheap aftermarket rotors that they are slotting themselves..... Somewhere out there are oversized Brembo rotors (380mm front/355mm rear) with 6 piston calipers in front and 4 piston calipers in the rear as featured on the Hi-Performance Ridgelines Honda presented at SEMA in the fall.
