Re: BFG All-Terrain

Lowrider,

I'm not arguing with you. With my Honda fender flares and Skyjacker lift, I only have 3/8" clearance with the stock Michelins.

All the interference is with the rear mud guard. I have not only done the math, I have tried several tires on the truck. I hope you have no problems.

If they work on your truck, I may remove/modify my mud guard on the fender flare.

Good luck and please post pictures.

Also, do you know if Montana's truck has the flares?

I'm guessing the flare (Idon't know what they look like, can you post a pic?)
and the way the guard is mounted has taken away from available space?

Sorry I didn't know about the flares, good point though for others. J

Re: BFG All-Terrain

I don't have my camera at the office today. I'll try to post a picture tomorrow.

I think the bulk of my problems are with the mud guard on the flare. I had them installed at purchase (March 2005, I have 20k miles on my truck) and I can't remember what the original mud guard looked like.

I'm fitting a 275/60/17 Toyo (like AMLEO) and a Bridgestone Dueler 255/65/17 on Friday. If I really like the look of one of these, I may go ahead and install, but, like you, I want the most aggressive lookI can get.

Glad to have another guinea pig in the fray.

Re: BFG All-Terrain

The Toyo will fit..hands down..If u have a hook try 265x70's or 255x70's we know the Toyo will work and Montana size..Bridgestone AT Revo come in 255..I only have the mud flaps front and back..is that what u mean about flares or is that seperate body moldings..are u going to run the stock wheels also or get wider rims?

I think he is saying that anything other than stock won't work with the flares and mudguards installed without modification.

Re: BFG All-Terrain

The flares are an add-on. I think the mudguard design is a little more intrusive than just the stock mudflap.

My original intent was to use the factory wheels, but now I am checking out the170KS by Focal and the 962GM Max by Sport Max Racing wheels.

I think the graphitecenter/polished rim combo would look really good on the red.

Re: BFG All-Terrain

AMLEO

Everything I have tried so far has been taller, 70, 75 series etc...

Have not gone wider at the same height (or close) which is what intrigued me about your Toyos.

Now that you're selling them I'm afraid to buy some 'cause you may come up with something I like better! LOL

Re: BFG All-Terrain

I feel your pain..I pay soo much to my exwife every month ..that I dont lose sleep over 500 dollars anymore..I would recommend at least 255x70's or 265's because we know already that mine work on stock height..why not go a little taller...As soon as i received my Toyos..the lifts were coming out..I may get $700 for my toyo with stock wheels..then i will be back to square one..boys and their toys..
