Just an update, the cooper stt's did not come in when they were supposed to. The last word is that I should have them mounted sometime today. Usually, I'm good about waiting, but now I just want them on the truck.

Has anyone considered going down to 16" rims? I got the specs from both sites and the closest BFG match to our stock Michelin LTX M/S is this one listed.

Re: BFG All-Terrain

I just bought a Silver RTL two days ago and really like it. I have run BFG A/Ts on all my past trucks and really want to use them on this vehicle. Can anyone confirm or deny whether the 256/70/17s will actually fit or not? I think they are about 32" tires. Assuming our stock tires are about 30" tires and these are about 32" tires that would through off the speedo about 13%. That is a lot, but I guess I could live with it so long as it did not screw up any ABS computers or whatever else. I am mostly concerned with whether they rub or not on the front mud flaps. I do not have fender flares.

I live in Houston and last year during the hurricane, around 4am during the evacuation gridlock, I got fed up and drove about 10 miles through the ditch with my 2wd avalanche with BFG A/Ts. I was glad to have them because there were bottles popping under the tires, but I just kept on going. Come to think of it, after 4 sets now, I have only ever had one flat and that was from a nail.

Otherwise, I may hang out for the 265/65/17 General AT2 Grabbers that are coming out this fall. Check out the link here. They look just like BFG A/Ts and they have a 60K warranty.

Those General Grabber AT2s look pretty good, at least from their promotional material. Has anyone installed them on a Ridgeline yet?

I'm installing my Truxxx lift kit tomorrow, but I probably won't be getting new tires for several thousand more miles, not until the original Michelins wear out (48k and going strong). So I've got some time to plan for the tires that I want.

Re: BFG All-Terrain

ok need to know how will 275/65 -17 on stock rims affect the ABS/VTM-4/ and VSM. I am not worried about the SPEEDO cause I am aware it will through it off by about 4mph of stock. diameter is 31.1 circ 97.6 oem specs 29.5 and circ 92.8. Want the larger tire for a higher stane without a lift.

Please ll help would be appreciated remember I do not have a lift installed
