Re: BFG All-Terrain
I had BFGs A/Ts on my last three trucks. They are good tires and virtually indestructable off-road, but the quality has really gone down over the last several years. I have had several problems with busted belts. The worst thing about them is that you absolutely MUST rotate them every 5-7K miles or they will wear very poorly. If you do that however, and dont run into any factory defects, you can easily get 60K miles out of them. I got 80K out of a pair on an old GMC Sonoma, but that was before they went to the "K/O" style with the rock grabbers on the side.
They saved my behind though 3 years ago during the Hurricane Rita evacuation from Houston. At 4AM I had enough of the bulls#it and took my Avalanche with the BFGs into the ditch and drove 15 miles to get away from the jackasses that were blocking the freeway cuz they fell asleep. Bottles were busitng beneath me and I was hitting all kinds of debris and they never slowed down a bit.

Re: BFG All-Terrain
Looking at the new Mud Terrain that BFG has out. They look pretty cool, and they come in a size that's better for the Ridgeline.

Re: BFG All-Terrain
I had a set of BFG AT on my K5 blazer tires handeled great but went bad in less than 2 years. tread seperation. I bought a set of chrome factory rims for my ridge and mounted TOYO open country AT so far so good. I only have about 200 miles on them. They are a little louder than stock but that was expected. Also they were not very expensive. The nitto grappler looks great but the PRICE!!!
