Re: WELL,HERE ARE MY NEW 22's

To My surprise , there was very little change!!
I can feel the little bumps in the road more , but just slightly. I have always had 20 inch rims on the last 2 cars. The 22 inchers by far are more comfortable, Even with the 35 series tire. I was a little leary f going with the 285 but everything worked out. NO RUBBING AT ALL. That was my biggest concern.
HERE ARE A FEW MORE PICTURES FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES. ENJOY!!

Re: WELL,HERE ARE MY NEW 22's

Its just my opinion, but there just isn't enough tire to go along with those rims. I wish you the best of luck with them, but the second you put 5 adults or anything in the bed and hit anykind of pot hole/bump your probably going to bend one of those up. And might I say, DAMN I think you paid WAY too much for those...but again, thats just me

cheeeapp... just messing with ya. I agree that I wouldn't spend that on wheels, but that's what makes modification fun, people do what they like. I'm sure that Chris has considered all possibilities and went with the application that fit him best. I think I read in his other thread that he kept his OEM for winter time, so that should be helpful.

I may be cheap, but I can't in be in a right mind to spend over $200/wheel. I still have a lot to pay on this bad boy. Hey, what ever happened to the "Bad Boy" sticker club? hahaha, anyone remember those stickers?

Re: WELL,HERE ARE MY NEW 22's

Thanks kieth, I'm open for opinions, I understand that wheels are'nt everyones cup of tea. I did however want to say I did get the tires with the reenforced side wall for extra strength.

Oh Ya! I think I use to have a bda boy club sticker on my skateboard back in the day. hahahaha

Thanks for your opinion, and yes I did keep the factory rims and tires for winter.

Re: WELL,HERE ARE MY NEW 22's

Not saying that rims arn't my cup of tea at all( I have 20's on mine), just saying that 22's may be too big for the ridge as you can't get enough rubber on the rim to help protect it and still fit them without rubbing. Time will tell though

I agree with you and even think that 20" will change the ride too much for me. I'll have to go for a ride with someone with 20" to feel for myself. When I go for the new wheels, I'll likely stay 17". I prefer the more tire look over the more wheel look. To me, trucks have more tire, street performers have more wheel.

On my Chevy Tracker, I went from 195/75-15 on a 15x5.5" wheel to 235/60x16 on a 16x8 wheel. On that vehicle, it made a HUGE difference in ride and handling. Of course the the original combination was unstable and unsafe at best and the new setup is about 3" wider than original, so that was a no brainer.
