Re: Blue Ridge With Rims Ware Are You???
I really love what you did with the factory wheels, Ridge Man. How did you accomplish the mod? How much? Who did it?

Re: Blue Ridge With Rims Ware Are You???
Just my 02cents, when I changed over my wheels, I reused the stock TPMS sensors with no problems. Simple little 10mm(?) plastic crush bolt. Just make sure you don't use the steel wheel sensors as they are different from the alloy's.

Re: Blue Ridge With Rims Ware Are You???
The OEM wheels were refinished at a Rim Repair Shop. The cost was $640. for the 4 wheels. And I much prefer them to my chrome ones that require so much cleaning. The refinished procedure used the rims were prepped for painting to solid black (my choice of color) then all the high points and centre (except the centre plastic H hup cap) were machined (lathe) down. Then a clear coating was applied. The Honda Pilot centre Hup caps the H is painted black and fit but very expensive, so had my H painted black at a sign shop. In the photo the high points may appear a white color but the true color is a shinny bright silver color. Hope this helps. PS: They have stood up well now for the 1st year of use and easy maintence.

Re: Blue Ridge With Rims Ware Are You???
I assume that's $640 USD? What was the turn-around time? There's a rim repair shop about 50 miles from me. I wonder if they can do the job. I'd love to have a set of those.

Re: Blue Ridge With Rims Ware Are You???
Sorry about that, the $640. was Cdn dollars so at the current rate of exchange that would be approx $545. USD. The turn aound time if I recall was 4 days. I do have winter and summer wheels for this climate. And the refinished wheels made it through a very harsh winter alot of salt and potash is used on our winter roads and they still look great. here is link to a free desktop currency converter.
