Airbag Suspension

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

My more car savy friend told me about a thing called airbag suspension. He told me it gives me a smoother ride and the ability to lower it up and down. I was wondering if you can get this on a Ridgeline. I have been looking at websites about this and I cannot find anything about the airbag suspension for the Ridgeline. So has anyone put this on there ridgeline or know a place that can put his on? Also can someone tell me prices about this. Thanks in advance.

Re: Airbag Suspension

The Ridgeline's suspension is pretty sophisticated when compared to normal pick up trucks and it hasn't been around long enough nor are there enough in circulation for retrofitting companies to design aftermarket solutions for many of the truck's performance features, including the suspension. While an airbag solution is probably a bit radical, there will likely be options available outside of Honda soon that includes more robust suspension components and also for those that want to only stay on the highway there will likely be softer components becoming available.

I have air bags on my rv but I don't think strut suspensions lend themselves to airbags as they tend to sit inside of the springs. at least on the rv they do not sure how they would work elsewise

Re: Airbag Suspension

I used to own a shop in Virginia doing Air Suspension and Hydraulics. Air suspension is probably not something you would want to do on your ridgeline. Ride height is adjustable in a sense, but a properly set-up system is really only intended to be driven at one height and dropped when parked.

Re: Airbag Suspension

There is a company called Exstensive baggin somewhere in I think in Houston TX that bagged an RL show truck. I think it might have been the red and black one (rockford fosgate?)

I have the link on my computer at work if you really need it, but the truck doesn't show up on their site. The truck is in a thread on the ROC somewhere

Sure you could, but make sure you are ready for a HUGE undertaking a HUGE expense and your truck never being the same again.

Yeah that is true and I love my Ridgeline the way it is now. So no airbag suspension for me.
