It is interesting that nobody has followed up on brich's question, which was first posted almost 8 months ago... This thought has crossed my mind in recent years & not just about the Ridgeline: With the increasing reliance on electronics, drive-by-wire systems & on-board computers, future repairs are going to be very expensive. But I guess the logic is that the average owner keeps a vehicle for less than 4 or 5 years (trading before paying it off), so who really cares what the maintenance costs will be in years 7 or 8...

As an example, I killed the ABS control module in my 1999 GMC Sierra by driving through a little water hole. The replacement module, although relatively primitive, cost something like 700 bucks. Installation not included. (I was told by the mechanic that the pricing had been set when the module was state-of-the-art & that it never decreased, even though technology had advanced.)
