Question about starting......

Has anyone had a delay in starting. I own a 1994 Honda Accord LX sedan and it starts on the first hit. I would thin my less than 35,000 mile Ridgeline would do the same. Is there something i should know or should I check with the dealer??

both my ridge and gf's mdx (same engine) do the same thing... must be that there are a whole bunch of sensors that have to agree before the computer will allow the engine to fire.

We have an '05 Odyssey (practically the same engine) and it also has to crank for a second or two before it fires. I'm pretty sure that is normal. I think it's like one of the other fellows said, it has to do a check of several sensors and get the green light from all of them before it lets the engine fire.

I just want to take a second to say thanks for all the help. I think it just take a sec to do a sensor check or something. The RTL I have is great. The best truck is could have ever bought. My wife likes it so much she wants one too.
