Re: Headers??

if anything, any aftermarket exhaust manifold for our trucks will clearly not be street legal (at least by california standards) becuase it would have to remove the cat converter. Its definetly possible to build one, but to build one, not allow the engine to become too excessively lean, makes good power and be legal would be a challenge.

Re: Headers??

Ground clearance could also be an issue.

Good way to determine if the OEM is good or not? Looking at it?

Restrictive.... With 3 catalytic convertors making the engine into a ULEV, restrictive is an understatement.

Re: Headers??

I don't understand why people have to mess with a good thing. The ridgeline is not a race car. It will never be. If you want to put headers on something go buy a camaro.

Re: Headers??

because good is the enemy of great. There are some areas on the RL that some users find good but not great.

It is possible to manufacture a less restrictive down pipe and with tuning have it be even cleaner emissions. However modifying them at all either by replacing or relocating cats is illegal in cali and would give your dealer a good excuse possibly to raise hell with your warranty.

sorry to my peeps but this is in the works and when I can I'll post up info. Till then flowmaster mufflers is whack y0!

Re: Headers??

BTW - I'm entirely in favor of ULEV vehicles. I like to breathe clean air.
