Re: Best option for after-market air filter replacement
I second the motion. Go get an OEM Honda filter. They engineered and built the vehicle and they know what it needs.

Re: Best option for after-market air filter replacement
Where's the best place to buy a Ridgeline (best price)? Kind of a silly question if you think about it.
Car parts are a commodity and pricing varies daily. One place may have a good price one day and another guy the next. I use www.bernardiparts.com. They're in my state so shipping is cheap and overnight.

Re: Best option for after-market air filter replacement
I replaced my original air filter with one from K&N. I believe them to be far superior than stock. They filter better, breathe better, and last forever! You may even pick up a few extra horsepower; not as much as an intake swap, but still an improvement. You will also need the K&N recharge kit. You spray on a cleaner, hose it off, let it dry, and spray it with their recharge oil, and re-install. It's about twice the cost of a paper filter; which is a bargain in my book. Any time you can increase performance (safely) AND save money, I'm in! They say they're good for one million miles.

Few extra horsepower? Show me the evidence. Terrible thing to do to an engine. |
