Retirement is boring much of the time... working in R&D was fun (much of the time).

Actually I think its more a function of hormone roll-off as one ages.

eh... Honda alert! Maybe they don't know about this design.

Maybe they can't afford to incorporate these simple changes.

Maybe you should let Honda know what they have missed!

Maybe this site site should be supported by contributions...

Maybe....

What's your point?

I'm just sharing what I'm seeing post the installation.

I think my points were clear... but to add to them, a 1mpg improvement is 5%. That is a very big improvement. If memory serves, AEM claims a 1% improvement. Even that claim is hedged.

In any event, it is within measurement accuracy. So for both reasons, I doubt you are getting the improvement you are calculating. Way too small a sample.

I agree that it's so difficult to be accurate with measurements when it comes to aftermarket parts. I'm not saying that someone didn't improved mileage...I'm just saying it's somewhat difficult to be completely accurate/objective. Maybe...if one could chart the difference over time with similar driving patterns/conditions.

I haven't looked to see what AEM's claims were. I'm just telling it like it is, real-world post installation vs. real-world pre installation. If you don't believe it, that's fine. I didn't buy the AEM CAI or post this to sell anybody on it. All that matters to me is that I like it and I'm benefitting from it.

How ever you want to slice and dice it, I don't care. I was getting 320 miles to the tank pre AEM CAI installation and now I'm getting (first 2 tanks post installation) 340 miles to the tank. Yes, is this a rough measurement, yes. The fact is, that I would bet my paycheck that I'm getting at least 10 more miles per tank post installation.

Again, I could care less if you believe or agree with what I say. It's my view and what I'm seeing from my vehicle. If your results are different or you don't want to believe that, that's fine too. All that matters to me is that I'm happy with it.

You didn't have to say either of those things. My last day at the office is now 13 days & 51 minutes away...
