Thumbs up Hondata Reflash - Gauging interest, looking for test vehicle in Torrance, CA

My name is John Vega. I am the owner of Phearable.net which is a Honda/Acura electronic fuel injection tuning based company.

Phearable.net is Hondata dealer which has interest in having Hondata produce a re-flash with actual before and after dyno results (Unlike Jet's supposed reflash which I don't believe does anything.)

I personally own a Ridgeline RTL w/ nav. I Spoke to Doug Mcmillan of Hondata about producing a Hondata re-flash for the Honda Ridgeline such as the one they did for the Baja 1000 truck. The reflash would be for a factory ridgeline, perhaps with an intake.

Doug expressed that he would be able to create the reflash product if he felt there was enough demand for it. He also informed me that he would need a Ridgeline for atleast 1 week. Whom ever were to provide the vehicle for the week would receive their re-flash for free.

There is just one major issue, I can't provide my vehicle as a test vehicle as I am in Florida.

If you are interested in helping the Ridgeline community out by giving your truck up for r&d for 1 week, please contact doug (at) hondata.com or give them a ring at 310-782-8278 and ask for Doug.

Hondata is located at:
Hondata, Inc.
386 Beech Ave
Unit B2
Torrance, CA 90501

In all honesty what could you really expect for them to do. From what I have read about the Baja is that they tuned it for about 10 more WHP that was negated by the bigger rim/tire combo....... There are torque limits to what the VTM and transmission could handle.... I don’t think it would really be worth the money, especially that I am betting that one would also need to run premium....

The Baja ridgeline was running race fuel & used higher compression internals & a different cam if I remembered correctly.

If Hondata does not feel it is worth making a reflash for the public to buy, they won't release it. Simple as that.

Hondata ALWAYS produces a true before & after dyno comparison on their reflashes.

This is false. there current power output was and is even more so now substantial and I'm talking over the 50 I'm making currently and there is far more to be had with tuning tan the jet ecu I have from just an intake and exhaust.

Your making 50 whp with an intake, exhaust & a reflash ?
I find that hard to believe.

I think I remember reading your previous thread & you failed to complete a before & after comparison on the same dyno etc.

I use CATs dyno they have baseline maps as well as the full tune history of the baja ridgeline and the comptech sc project. This is the dyno doug wil use

Contact them and have them complete an overlay of a baseline pull on a stock ridgeline to your pulls on the dyno.
