I like it. It's not a very common swap it's only been done a handfull of times. I have only seen one actually run correctly. Goodluck post updates.

cold air

and this is a probably a show/drag/play car so he prob tossed the hood in the trash long ago....plus I dont see how it would close over that motor even without an intake!

I know, I meant since a custom hood is needed, twist the short ram intake tube "up", to a custom made air filter, which the air will be coming in from a new vent in the hood. (while figuring out how to manage water too )

But will he b*tch about gas mileage?

Re: Ridgeline engine in Civic......

That is the way I lived with I had my muscle cars 1/4 mile at a time and gas was nothing to me it was all about being slammed back in the seat when you put it on the floor boards

It depends on transmission build. I'd bet that with proper gearing he could get somewhere in the area of 40-50 mpg. That motor has enough torque to pull that little chassis along at 60 mph at 800 rpms.

Keith, Gary Flint has told us on numerous occasions that a small V-8 won't fit into the RL. Maybe you should print out this picture and bring it along with you to Ohio and show him what a little effort can really accomplish.
