Added weather stripping to seal up air intake

Like my '05 Ody I noticed the factory seal under the hood that meets the grill isn't all that good. After driving in the rain you can pop the hood and see water getting past the seal. I picked up some automotive weather stripping 3/4"x1/2" and just laid a strip on top of what is already there. I used a smaller width 1/2x1/2 for the rear strip. Now my engine stays clean and assured the fresh air intake is sealed up and drawing air only from the holes in the cowling where its supposed to. I'll take pics later but for now you can see what I did with my Ody which was the same thing, click the Ody link in my sig file to see a pic of it.

Do you buy this weather stripping at the hardware store or at an automotive parts store?

Local hardware store, Yardbirds. Not sure what the difference is, perhaps a little more dense closed cell foam. Probably any weather stipping would do fine. I just saw the automotive/marine type and went with that.
