Re: Enough about the gas mileage already!

As I'd said a long time ago about the 'mileage' posts....GO BUY A CIVIC FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! That was about a month or so ago when I just got tired of those silly MPG posts and the constant questions asking what mileage everyone was getting. Back then I was pretty much told to back off. I guess NOW everybody is finally getting as sick of them as I was!!

Re: Enough about the gas mileage already!

WOW!!! I thought I was gonna really piss people off with that post but I guess I am not the only one who can't understand all the complaining about gas mileage. I have been SO IMPRESSED with the engine- a low emmisions V6 with this kind of performance.

I LOVED Fins2theright's post.. and all the others as well- I think you pretty much said it all!!!

Re: Enough about the gas mileage already!

Thought I would post some info some might find interesting.

This is from Consumer's Report as they have tested vehicles- this is not the EPA estimates but how these vehicles actually tested out.

05 Sport Trac- V6- 15mpg/20mpg (reported, vehicle not tested)
05 F150- 5.4 V8- 9mpg/20mpg
05 RAM 1500 -4.7 V8-8mpg/17mpg
05 Toyota Tacoma- V6- 13mpg/21mpg

oh, and almost forgot.... Honda RIDGELOVE- 10mpg/23mpg- so, don't worry, be happy, you bought the BEST truck!!!

Get a Civic?

Good idea. Then, I'll have truck of the year and car of the year!!

I gotta stop the !! at the end of my posts. My fahter used to be a commercial fisherman. He trolled more than he gilnet. The two ! reminds me of the poles on either sides of the boat.

If he had gillnetted more, would you end your posts with ##?

Under the new hp requirements, it's 247 hp. Under the old hp requirement it was 255 hp.

We don't have winter mix fuel here and I get consistently 19 to close to 21 mpg.

I have a 2 slice toaster. Growing up we all had a 4 slicer. My wife says thats a waste and will only have a 2 slicer. Maybe the 4 uses to much electricity.
