the heart & gear of the RL
I'm getting mixed signals here, is the engine in the RL a new engine or is it the same as the Pilot and Odys? that goes with the transmission too??

The engine has been modified for the RL and the transmission is a special build for the RL. You can find more information at Honda News and I'm sure others here on ROC, as they read your post will fill you in on more information.
