AEM V2 cold air intake installed!!

Hey guys check this out! So I had this AEM V2 left over from my Acura CL I that I traded in to get the truck. Saw the Brute Force intake everyone is talking about and it looked like a similar setup to the V2. Went to my friend's shop who is a big "tuner" guy and with just two small modifications made it fit with no trouble at all! The intake is only meant to fit a 98-02 Honda Accord or Acura CL. Now I would not have gone out and bought an intake but I had that was just sitting around so I thought I'd see if it would work, and it did!!
The only thing we had to change was the length of the rubber tube that connects to the throttle body and drill a small hole on the bottom of the engine compartment to accompany the mount on the intake. Anyway it sounds great, just a little extra growl when you put your foot down, and she seems to respond quicker to throttle input as well. Impressed! There is a hole in the bottom of the engine bay right where the intake should go and the filter sits down beneath it! A perfect fit! Check out the pics! The red arrow shows where we had to drill a hole to screw in the mount for the intake. When I got home last night I put my hand ont he tube and it was cold so a good sign its getting some cold air and not air from the engine. There are some improvements thgat the V2 makes over most AEM intakes, it's a bigger tube and allows for more air. Check it out!

Looks awesome... cold air rammed up into the pipe is what you want....I still have mixed feelings with the K&N unit that sits inside the engine compartment.....yet people swear by them.....

Do you have to pull the bumper off to get to the filter?

No, only had to pull off two clips on the slpashguard underneath the bumper and shove it on the pipe and clamp on the filter

hrmm... the V2 is typically tuned for the particular engine it's designed for. I wonder how it's going to effect the torque curve for the Ridgeline.
