Re: banging noise

Thought I was hearing things. I too have heard this noise when pulling out of parking spot at work and making a hard right turn. I however thought it was coming from the rear but I haven't really looked into it. When I back out of my driveway at home and turn right or left, no noise, only when pulling forward then turning hard right. Any cause for concern here?

Re: banging noise

Check for a flashlight under your seat joke from another thread but actually the cause of a banging sound that owner had. Seriously I really have no idea, I don't have any sound when making turns.

Re: banging noise

Search for a previous thread here at the R.O.C. concerning "brake noise". The thread is actually titled "noise of engagement from transmission." A few techies gave some startup noises you should hear. Honda brakes have some designed slop in the brake pads and may make noise the first time you change directions. You said you notice this pulling out of your driveway and another said when leaving a parking space at work. Could this be your problem?

Re: banging noise

I'm sure this isn't your problem, but even when the automatic door locks are disabled, you still hear the click when getting up to 9mph (or whatever it is).

Do you have to be turning to hear it? Mine makes the sound as I pull out of my driveway. I have tried several different things. It happens only when I am
pulling off, after being parked. It doesn't matter if I am backing out first or not. Some one suggested it may be the ABS self check. I have not taken mine in yet.
Please let us know what the dealer says or does.
Thanks

Re: banging noise

I definetly have that sound, but I've noticed there is alot of play in the tranny, when going from forward to reverse it bangs and when making a slow turn, then accelerating I get it too! Guess it must be made that way huh?
