Re: R/L Washed, Clayed, and Iced

I've been using ALL of the ICE products since they have been out. I work at a factory, so we all know lots of things are flying around that land on our vehicles.
One of the first threads about the clay bar, he wasnt pleased, well, from expearence, you need to take you time and do SMALL sections at a time, or you will get a weird streak look.
I do this at least once a week to keep it up. this is a great product that should be used on the greatist truck ever made....the ridge lol

Dang! I'm feelin' like a lazy-no-good-fer-nuttin after reading this!

Being single (divorced YEARS ago), and living alone (most of the time), I can't imagine having the time to devote to such intensive care for my RL.
Between work, laundry, yard work, housework, repairs, etc... I feel like I'm neglecting the Ridge when I hear about how you've all found time to keep yours looking "showroom" fresh.

And most of you have children at home, to boot!

How DO you do it!?

We ignore the kids, the wife / husband does the laundry, and the house repairs go until it rains in the bedroom

Do a standard wash and add in an 'extra' each time. For example, I might do a wash + dress all the trim one time, wash + extra good cleaning of the wheels next, and wash + polish the headlights next time. There are a lot of things that don't need to be done every single time, but if you wait until you need all of them, the time adds up. This way, you're getting them done with just an extra 15 or 20 minutes each time.

Y'know... this may sound like a simple solution... now. But I hadn't thought of doing it this way until seeing it in print. Thanks Scott!
My problem is I don't wash my RL at home because of a very s-t-e-e-p driveway. I've chased many bottles and cans down the road... they won't even stand-up when I put them down. A bucket (half-full) of water presents a whole other set of challenges.

So... I go to the local spray n' wash. Every-other time I wash, I vacuum there.
I think I can work-in a little at a time there, like the wheels and other stuff you mentioned, then, when I really need to, I'll have less to worry about when I can find the time to actually polish the whole truck.

Sounds like a plan!

Thanks again,
Pug

p.s. Mike, maybe if I spend more time shining my ride, I just might snare me a "house-mouse" to take some of my load off me.
