Clayed the Ridgeline today

I would never have thought a brand new vehicle would need the paint clay treatment, but after suggestions from TMac and others, I decided to clay my RL today. It's only 2 months old, but I could sure tell the difference after I used the clay. Now the paint is silky smooth. After claying, I put on a good coat of Black Magic Wet Shine, and the RL looks the best it's looked since I've owned it. Love how that Formal Black shines! Pics enclosed.

I've never "clayblocked" a paint job before. Any hints, suggestions, warnings. Your truck looks fantastic. I agree Voices, Nothin' much better than a Sparklin' Black Ridge!

Excellent, Tom. I love the look of a beautiful, shiny, black truck. You did a great job.

Re: Clayed the Ridgeline today

Detailing clay bars produce professional quality results and grab many of the contaminents that get embedded in the clear coat. I have tried the Turtle Wax Liquid Clay goop and it was really awful. Clay, the real thing, works best. Clay may be available at some of the larger auto stores, but definitely is available from a number of online website. I clay my vehicles about twice per year. I tend to skip using the clay bar lube and just use the wash water.
