  1. Transmission compatible 06-14

    Miscellaneous/General Honda Ridgeline Discussions
For safe measure, do two more drain and fill on the ATF. Change out the rear differential fluid and center transfer unit as well. Single DNF would be fine for these two.
  2. New Truck delivery expectations

    Second Generation Ridgeline (2G 2017+)
What should be concerned about is the PDI sheet. If all the TSBs and any open recalls for your VIN were addressed. It always pays to be an educated buyer. Also ensure to run your VIN in the and check to see if there are any pending items...
  3. AWD rear axle operation

    Second Generation Ridgeline (2G 2017+)
The differential is electro-mechanical with clutch packs. They engage and disengage as needed, however, as long as the 4 wheels are on the ground and spinning, all the gears and stuff are still spinning in their fluid. Just not actively doing the work when not needed. The AWD system manages...
  4. Heavy clunk

1G Under The Hood / Performance
Also check the radiator to make sure it is looking healthy. Waterpump and Timing belt maybe another big ticket items. If you are mechanically inclined, the front and pax side engine mounts can be done under a couple of hours (at the same time). You may want to have a shop do the rear engine...
  5. Clips for the plastic cover (engine bay)

    Second Generation Ridgeline (2G 2017+)
You should be able to get generic ones off Amazon. I got two different sets from Amazon for my G1 and for around $8 a pack, I have like 150 of those fasteners. We are curious :)
  6. Any Gen1 guys in Pittsburgh, Pa

    First Generation Ridgeline (1G 2006-2014)
Once Ian gets settled in from his trek, he should be able to connect with you. You may find the G1 easier to work with than the G2. I am excited for you to undertake this. Also, while you are mocking it up, Can you also mock up a three piece full underbody tray/kit? There are few things in the...
  7. All Terrain Tires - Looking for some input?

    2G Tires, Wheels & Suspension
You talking about the AT Trail tires?
  8. rear axle seals leaking... again

    1G Problems & Issues
According to the image below, did you test it by holding onto the actual shaft and moving it in and out of the rear diff, or you held onto the inner CV joint and moved it in and out? If it was the shaft, can you try with the inner CV joint? From what I know, the inner and outer CV joints should...
  9. We Are Now Live - Community Feedback Thread Site Issues & Website Help
I am here quite often and a lot of times, too often to my own desire. I am not facing any such issues. For the most part I am on a W10 using Google Chrome browser. The advance search would be a sweet addition that we all miss. @HyperPete , sorry to hear you are having a lot of trouble bud...
  10. Air suspension

    2G Tires, Wheels & Suspension
You have to go full custom my friend.
  11. rear axle seals leaking... again

    1G Problems & Issues
I will check mine later in the evening, when possible. That is unless someone else confirms it.
  12. VCM Noise

    Second Generation Ridgeline (2G 2017+)
The Dodge Charger Hellcat with it's super crazy OEM brakes had similar feel with the 'dead zone' when running up Pikes peak. I think it's some weird design that we are finding awful.
  13. Rotora BBK and Velox Apex & Dynapro RF10

    1G Tires, Wheels and Suspensions
UPDATE: 09/18/2019 I have put on a little over 10,000 miles so far on the setup. I have, for about two weeks now, started to feel the sponginess in the brake feel and discovered that my brake fluid is really dark. This is the Honda fluid in the system. Stopping time and scrubbing speed is not...
  14. Tacoma Bed Rail Mod

2G Accessories, Performance Parts & Modifications
300lbs is a lot of load mind you. As long as your cargo is cinched down properly, you won't have any movement and thus eliminate/limit the impact loading due to a shifting cargo. As fast as the holes for those cleats, well they go into and are part of the unit body structure. The hole is deep...
  15. 70 mile hike in three days

Bikin', Campin', Hikin', Fishin' and Kayakin'
That is awesome Ian. I can't wait for pictures!!!
  16. G1 owner considering whether I like the G2 enough to buy it.

    Miscellaneous/General Honda Ridgeline Discussions
Is this purchased based on want and not need? If you have such a luxury of $$$, then buy the G2. If you determine that you are fine with the G1, then you do not have to. If you want to trade it up, wait till the 2020 is released and see how you like it in the test drive.
  17. 2020 release date?

    Second Generation Ridgeline (2G 2017+)
Let me tell you, I actually enjoy it every time I drive my Odyssey. Even in the sun, those seats do not soak up the heat.
  18. Brakes

    First Generation Ridgeline (1G 2006-2014)
In addition to the comments above, I have some questions. What type of brake pads do you have and what brand is it? I assume the rotor is an OEM blank? (as it was resurfaced) what condition are the tires in? Contrary to popular belief, the tire is the limiting factor of braking distance did...
  19. Alignment after New Tire Install?

    2G Tires, Wheels & Suspension
I typically do not do wheel alignment on tire changes and I have gone through 5 sets of tires already and on my 6th set. Acutallly even when you get new tire/wheel package, you need not get an alignment. However, I would recommend an alignment when someone changes their axles, control arm, tie...
  20. Intake manifold modification

    1G Mods, Installs and How-To's
Operating elevation, tire compound, tire tread, frontal and overhead accessories, engine's average operating speed range, exhaust setup, etc etc plays a role in Will's realized fuel economy bump. I am very interested to see the dyno run results once he gets the opportunity to do so.
