    Miscellaneous/General Honda Ridgeline Discussions
The first stop when bringing in the mail is the recycle bin and garbage can in the garage. About 90% of what I receive goes on one or the other.
  2. TPMS Sensors

    2G Tires, Wheels & Suspension
I bought a set of winter tires, wheels, and sensors from JimV here last week and had them installed at Discount Tire on Monday (during a snowstorm). Everything seemed OK until driving to work on Tuesday when the large TPMS error message appeared and no pressure readings. I went back to...
  3. Video: Winter vs other tire types

    2G Tires, Wheels & Suspension
We're in the middle of an all-day snow event here is southern Michigan and my area will probably end up with about 7". I made a run to the store and gas station this morning about 7:30 with the stock FIrestones and almost any braking caused the ABS to start pulsing. Braking on a downhill...
  4. [SOLD] 17" Sport Edition X1 Wheels with Winter Tires

    Trading Post
Thanks, Jim. I have an appointment for Monday at Discount Tire to do the swap. (I hung up my impact wrench a few years ago for tire swaps and my back thanks me.)
  5. [SOLD] 17" Sport Edition X1 Wheels with Winter Tires

I'm interested and live in the Brighton area. Where can we meet for me to look them over.
  6. 1st Gen wheels with winter tires-$250

    Trading Post
Are these still available? I'm in the Brighton area.
  7. Leanin' on the Ridge, am I the only one?

    Miscellaneous/General Honda Ridgeline Discussions
I had a Ram 1500 with ramboxes after my Gen I and yes, those wide lids with ridges were convenient to set things on. However, both lids cracked around the lock and were replaced under warranty. The boxes were pretty convenient, but because of their shape, I had to decide where to place things...
  8. Leanin' on the Ridge, am I the only one?

    Miscellaneous/General Honda Ridgeline Discussions
One of the things I missed about not having a Ridgeline for a few years was simply leaning on the tailgate. Now the Gen II has level sides all around, so I can lean anywhere on the side of the bed. The sides on fullsize trucks are too tall. The Ridgeline is just right for leanin' and thinkin'.
  9. CCW Gun Safes & Mounting Suggestions?

2G Accessories, Performance Parts & Modifications
I've had Console Vaults in my Ram 1500 and Jeep Grand Cherokee. Especially with the Jeep, it restricted the console to just being for infrequent gun storage due to the small size. For the Ridgeline, I'm simply using the locking glovebox and a gun sock for the rare occasions I have the leave my...
  10. Malware pop ups on this site

    Community Help
Malware Bytes comes back clean. Popups keep happening. I'll come back in a couple weeks.
  11. Any regrets? Wish you hadn't bought the 2G Ridgeline

    Second Generation Ridgeline (2G 2017+)
No regrets. The look is even starting to grow on me. Glad I didn't spend an extra $10+ grand on another Ram 1500 (but I do miss the sound of the Hemi). It's great being able to easily walk behind a truck in the garage.

    Community Help
I'm regularly getting fake flash pop ups on Safari and I have to force quite the browser. Getting so I visit less and less.

As I suspected, it was the opener. More accurately, it was the LED bulb I put in the opener. Opening with the light off worked fine 100% of the time. Opening with the LED light on failed most of the time. I replaced the LED bulb with an incandescent bulb and it works 100% of the time with...

    Garage door opener, right?
  15. Hitch Step

    Racks, Hitches & Towing
I picked up the TGL hitch step off Amazon for my G2. I sanded down a piece of plastic for a shim that I installed from behind. Big enough to do the job, small enough and shaped to not be too much of a shin killer.

    Miscellaneous/General Honda Ridgeline Discussions
I think the door opener problem is with my opener, not the sender. My wife is also having problems getting it to close with her Liftmaster opener. Speaking of my wife, nothing has changed since the G1 - she still gets confused about the name and calls it a "Ridgemont".
  17. 2020 release date?

    Second Generation Ridgeline (2G 2017+)
A few weeks ago when I was shopping for my '19, the dealership sales rep and sales manager said there would be no major changes in the '20 model Ridgeline. Yes, their lips were moving, so that message is suspect.
  18. Missing cowl lid ("windshield wiper cover")

    2G Problems, Fixes & TSB's
New cowling installed and both covers securely in place. I assume they will snap out and back in - and aren't glued in place. They washed a couple weeks (and 1K miles) of road grime off the truck and I'm ready for the weekend.
  19. List of Factory Defects (pre-delivery checklist)

    2G Problems, Fixes & TSB's
Four items for me (took delivery a week ago): Cover on right side of cowling below windshield missing. New cover arrived, but didn't snap in. New cowling on order. Cover under glovebox loose. Technician said it was installed correctly and is just suspended there. Trim loose behind RR...
  20. I'm back...

    Miscellaneous/General Honda Ridgeline Discussions
Good question. It's only been a week, with four 85 mile days to work and back. My thoughts: The ride is softer than my Grand Cherokee. It wallows at times, but I've gotten used to it. No issues taking freeway ramps at a good clip and feeling totally in control. Good engine power. I don't...
