  1. G1 style vs G2

    Second Generation Ridgeline (2G 2017+)
3 hits driver side, rear in the last year where the other driver was 100 per cent at fault. Getting tired of having the drive Enterprise pickups while mine is in the shop.
  2. G1 style vs G2

    Second Generation Ridgeline (2G 2017+)
Just drove a new F-150 for 10 days while my RTL was in the body shop with a repair. Yet another at fault driver t-boned me. I was never so glad to get back to my RTL. For someone who "lives" in their vehicle, the Ford is a loser. I drive about 95 per cent of my time on cruise and the F-150...
  3. Strange noise after installing new KYB strut assemblies

    1G Tires, Wheels and Suspensions
Yep, like I said, mine is bone stock.

If it's a Les Schwab, I'm sure they offer the lifetime program. I've been a customer of theirs for 50 years and that is not the only lifetime guarantee they offer.

  6. Strange noise after installing new KYB strut assemblies

    1G Tires, Wheels and Suspensions
Yes, both times I had them changed out was because my tires were starting to cup. No other reason, just wanted to guarantee my tires a long life.
  7. Strange noise after installing new KYB strut assemblies

    1G Tires, Wheels and Suspensions
I'm running with my second set of KYBs. The last set was installed at 310,000. They make my RTL drive and feel like the day I drove it off the showroom floor. Someone did bad things for yours to do as you describe. Incidently, mine are guaranteed for life. I plan on another free set in...
  8. Please Post your MPG

Fuel Economy and Gas Related Discussion
My service tech is out with his wife having a kidney transplant and I haven't talked with Bill about what the "wrench people" said about the valves. I am thinking it must be the valves after all this time going from 16.9 to 17 and with the Fuelly numbers I'm seeing, I think it will go up...
  9. Please Post your MPG

Fuel Economy and Gas Related Discussion
I wonder if there is some reason my mpg have started to increase after I passed 305,000 miles. I did the TB evelotion then and had the valves adjusted for a second time. Everything is the same including driver. I've been tracking with Fuelly for about 285,000 miles.
  10. SMOD 2006 RTL 165K Radiator Failure

    First Generation Ridgeline (1G 2006-2014)
Wow, great catch in time and wonderful documentation. After all this time, it's troubling to hear this is still happening but still can be salvaged. Hopefully, this is only a gen 1 issue.
  11. Noisy belt on Start up

    1G Problems & Issues
My 08 RTL had a squeaky serp belt idler that was bad at about your mileage.
  12. Another gas mileage question

    1G Problems & Issues
21 mpg recorded today with a trip on I-5 at mostly 75mph. My RTL is getting better mpg the more miles it travels. 14,000 miles ago was the timing belt evelotion where I also had the valves adjusted, maybe that did it. At 319,000 now, it ought to be up to 25mpg when it gets to 400,000. Ha, I...

I guess no one on here remembers, push button shifters like the one on our new 1957 Plymouth Belvedere. It didn't take long to get used to those buttons on the left side.
  15. 1G Prospective Buyers Checklist ?

    First Generation Ridgeline (1G 2006-2014)
At 318,000 miles I have never used the MM. I am on my third trip through the list that eurban posted. My RTL has never left me stranded where it had to be trucked in for repair. Sorry, there are several items that have been listed that routinely need replacing that have never been issues with...
  16. Other Transmission Fluid?

1G Under The Hood / Performance
I know I'm "not in fashion" but at 76 I try not to use any synthetic fluids. At 318,000 miles this habit has served me well with my RTL. 2 million plus miles over the road and (knock on wood) never had an engine fail me. OK, the new home is 100 percent solar so I'm not completely in the dark...
  17. TPMS System Error

    1G Problems & Issues
Mileage and years on the road of my 08 RTL was about the same as yours when I replaced all 4 OEM TPMS. Still going strong at 318,000.
  18. Low Toxic Coolant

    1G Problems & Issues
Just used Honda coolent when I just did the timing belt evelotion at Honda about 13,000 miles ago. 318,000 miles and I'm still using OEM fluilds. Honda seems to like that I use their "stuff".
  19. Other Transmission Fluid?

1G Under The Hood / Performance
Used OEM fluid for 318,000 miles with zero issues in my RTL.
  20. 2006 Ridgeline shell for bed. Someone busted out my backglass?

2G Accessories, Performance Parts & Modifications
If it's a Leer, Camper World, where I bought mine, has parts. Through the years I have had to have them replace the bottom rubber sweeper for the door and a new latch. I open and close mine several times every day
