Product placement has been proven to be one of the most effective advertising methods 0:) .....
:|... so why would a thread, discussing '17 Ridgeline product placement advertising, be considered, in TommyDevitos words, "worthless"? ... and at HIS rude discretion be relegated to off topic discussion? :surprise:

Lol! :smile:Open your mind a little Tommy ... and you'll see that this is a comment on product placement/advertising in movies, in particular the G2 Ridgeline. :wink:You may not be aware of product placement as a very effective form of advertising, but many on this forum are  People buy the guns that are used in movies ... They buy the beer, the clothes, & the motorcycles they see in movies0:).... and yes, they buy the vehicles they see too! The protagonist in the movie is seen on numerous occasions driving a popular pickup, even towing an Airstream trailer:| ... I'm lamenting that it's not a Ridgeline! Since many don't believe Honda is promoting the G2 effectively, :frown:I'm suggesting product placement in this particular film would have been both timely and effective, :wink:considering the promotion and quality of the movie, and the fact the a pickup was so prominently displayed.

I think it is overly advertised, if your only going to build around 42,000 units per year and can't get enough AWD's to the dealers, and produce the models that they advertise like the "T" and "E" models with all the goodies and not much help coming from Honda in the future to get the dealers with some stock to sell, as a new potential customer i'd look elsewhere. Like myself I have a 2008 RL and waiting is really no problem for me, but I would hate to have someone ask me about mine and say, I'm interested in one, what do I say, good luck.

No. And poor try. You started yet another worthless thread about a Movie in theaters in the GEN II section. Honda is advertising the hell out of the truck via ads on TV and on the internet. You are crying about the truck not being a movie. Anyone that clogs this section up with worthless threads, are the ones being rude. Your other thread got moved, appropriately, because it didn't belong. Go to OT for that nonsense.

Oh and btw, you are quoting me from another thread, in this one, another RUDE gesture.
I'll report this one to the moderator and they can deal with it.
Lol!:wink: .... Good grief TommyDevito! :surprise: What are you gonna do next? ... Tell the teacher!? 0:)

As in other post/threads the 2017 has plenty of advertising Honda finally got it.
If you look back form 2006-2009 you will see plenty of us saying thee Ridgeline needs to be advertised more. When some of us went to meets like the one in 2007 St Louis with Gary Flint and some people with Honda said this.
When we went to Columbus Ohio meet and Honda TRC and Plant tour we said the same. We have been posting on this for the longest so the G2 Ridgeline comes out and they are advertising the heck out of it. It showed in Super Bowl commercial then was shown plenty in Olympic Games has been show doing football games plenty of ads on computer and magazine if you check doing a search Honda Ridgeline News on google you will see some newspaper has a write up article about it almost every other day. This is like Wall Street Journal Huffington Post USA Today or any local city newspaper or their website.
TFL Car & Driver Motor Week publication & TV show have had the G2 Ridgeline.
This is way more then the first generation got the first 3 years they sorta advertised it. It was the Red Head stepchild of Honda I always said and it sure did not deserve that treatment. But G2 does not need to be in a movie
it's getting plenty of show. I just need to see my first one on the actual street. I am not out in the suburbs much like I use to be so they are probably out there. Have not seen one in city yet but last few months just started to see a bunch of Pilots like two or three when your out daily.

This thread seems more about personalities than substance.
