I'm the New Owner of a 2006 Ridgeline.

Car was maintained at the local Honda Dealership till 2014
then a local car shop since then

Only 181,000 KM,

Now I have noticed a knock, it does not sound like the Timing belt tensioner but I have ordered a Full Timing Belt Kit to be installed Soon.

There is a couple of Youtube video's with the same sound that have already been posted here
. The sound of my ridgeline is the same

Has anybody found a fix or exactly what it is, I hear many different things from reading the posts here

My 2006 had this pretty much since new. Was told this is normal at the dealership a couple of times when I brought it up.
It got louder around 100K miles.

This has been discussed on this forum a few times, from what I gather it's called "piston slap" where the skirt of the piston hits the bottom of the cylinder. One forum member even had his engine rebuilt to try and get rid of the sound and the sound was still there after the rebuild.
