I've just started getting the same sound this week and figured I'd check under the hood this weekend. It's gotta be a heat shield giving way, I know mine are somewhat rusty. I have some metal bands on mine that I'm gonna look at, might need tightening.
im afraid mine is off and stuck on some other part when i kick my passenger side front tire i hear that tin sound thats whats got me confused
There is a sheet metal shield that surrounds the brake rotor that you could possibly have touching something.

My noise is only under throttle and it def sounds like the front of the engine. It's a metal rattling sound like something is touching the exhaust.

I had a rattle every time I shut my passenger side door. I removed the heat shield closest to the radiator.

This was the heat shield I originally tied down (then later replaced) when I had a rattle during acceleration. It covers one of the catalytic converters.

TheFinks, check your hood prop and make sure it's attached properly, I dug around in my engine over the weekend trying to locate the sound (it's intermittent at best) and I noticed my hood prop wasn't stowed properly, so I put it where it belongs and I haven't noticed the sound since.

Thanks for the link Parsec
there is a front heat shield close to the engine that is hard to get to...mine makes noise until it heats up
