I am trying to put 285-50-20 wheels on my truck, what are your ideas and what should i do to be able to obtain this goal

Responded to your PM but posted my response here as well for anyone else who might have a problem fitting this size wheel/tire combo.

I had to remove the mud flaps, cut out part of the plastic wheel well and grind the pinch weld completely flat to get no rubbing. You will have to grind a good bit. I grinded, checked for rubbing, grinded, checked for rubbing and repeated that several times before I got no rubbing. Then even had to go back a few days later after driving around a bit and grind some more and remove more of the plastic wheel well.
