I have been noticing a few drops of oil here and there on the driveway recently and was finally able to get under the truck over the weekend to confirmed that the truck is leaking oil. Thanks to the hard work of other members and plenty of searching on this site I was able to rule out that it isn't the RMS. I de-greased the under the engine, drove it around for a day, then looked again to see where its coming from. I was able to trace it back to somewhere behind the oil filter. It went into my buddies shop yesterday and I should have an answered of what the problem is today. This truck has always been good to me so hopefully nothing major.

Specs:
2007 RL RTX w/ 147,000 miles.

My wife's Accord does this same thing every now and then. It leaks a few drops from around the oil filter seal. I think there may be a slight imperfection in the mounting surface of the filter connection housing because it only does it when the oil filter is older (5000mi +). If I change the oil and filter, it's perfectly dry for awhile. I was using Purolator Classic filters on the car for a long time and stepped up to a PureOne filter this time around. Just a few bucks more and hopefully a better seal. If anything, I would recommend simply changing out your oil filter for a new quality one. Ensure to clean the mounting surface and put a layer of fresh oil on the rubber sealing gasket.
If you're having problems with the oil filter seal, try a filter with an o-ring seal rather than the square-section ring gasket that most replacement market filters use. The Honda filters have the more desireable o-ring seal, but other filters may as well.
Also check that there's only one seal there. Sometimes when you remove the filter the seal sticks to the block and when you spin on the new filter you end up with two. Which then leak.

Its probably the oil pump housing leaking. Mine does this it cost 600 + bucks to fix

We have a winner, $642 to be exact. My buddy did it and replaced a bunch of other seals while he was in there.
