I am in the beginning phase of modifying my new 2010 Polished Metal Metallic RTS and thought I would share the experience with you.
The major mods and accessorizing are scheduled to take place over the next few weeks so I will post up to date pics and links as they happen.
The ROC forums have proved to be an unbelievable source of information and inspiration. So I will indicate the links to threads that have helped me do the work rather than do blow by blows of each project.
I've worked with cars all my life but this is the first time I've customized a new vehicle. It's turning out to be so much fun!!!!
Hope you all enjoy the pics....I look forward to reading your comments....good or bad.

So here's pics of the new truck straight from the dealer. We bought it New Years Eve from Island Honda here on Maui.
I really wanted an RTL but they only had one and we didn't like the color. But the saving we made by getting an RTS and the great deal we got from Island Honda have allowed us to spend freely on the mods.
As soon as I saw the Polished Metal Metallic I knew exactly how i was going to customize it.

First off we had the truck fitted with the OEM Back-up Sensors and OEM Roof Rack in black.
Following that we had a set of Wet Okole seat covers made to match the custom paint work we were going to do.
The seat covers are very cool. They fit really well. They are air bag tested and they look like factory instals. We used the Light Grey color for the seats and Red for the piping. We also had them apply a set of dog paw prints on the front seats in matching red. Our dog,Sevin, is always a passenger so that was one reason we went with the Okoles. We also live by the ocean and do all kinds of water sports so they were the perfect choice for us.
They were installed by our local supplier, Auto Trends Maui, as part of the package price.

Next it was time to chose some new rims.
I really wanted 18" but did not want the expense of buying new tires so settled on 17's.
Damn there are so many cool wheels out there but after much agonizing we chose Willows in black from TSW.

As we were going to paint them and basically de-chrome the truck we decided on the black as the best alternative.
They are being painted as we speak and I should get them back here next week.

Time to strip off the parts we are going to paint.
Mirrors, front grille element and badges.

This is where ROC came to the rescue. The links to the relevant instructions are here. Many mahalos to the posters.

Link is fixed, thanks for the heads-up! The KPT Window up mod allows you to close all of the windows, rear slider, and moonroof with the double-click of the lock button on the remote, or the door. I wish I'd taken a ride on that ferry when I had the chance. Then I could have come over and taken all of the Opihi! :act060:

Happy modding!

Looking forward to seeing the outcome of painting your front grille element. I am really thinking about doing mine as well. Does the gray portion pop out easily? I am thinking about painting mine black to change the front-end look rather than paying for another type of accessory grille.

Please keep us posted on your progress.

I'm on my way to pick up the grille so should have it installed later today. Painting it black would look very cool while still retaining the interesting look of the stock unit.
The gray portion comes out very easily...just held in place by a few self tappers and clips. You do have to do the whole front bumper removal thing but that is surprisingly easy.

Almost there......
Raptor oval tube bars fitted.
http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32797&highlight=raptor+instal

Westin bull bar and PIAA 520 driving lamps installed.
I repainted the bull bar gloss black to match the wheels, it was a semi gloss from the factory.

Also added a stainless steel exhaust tip from MagnaFlow. I had to cut off about 4 inches of the stock exhaust to get it to angle correctly.

Just got to add the body side protectors....until I think of something else ;)
