If someone needs a safe truck only the Honda checks all the boxes... I think the f150 crew cab is a close second.

Great comparison, for the pickup size, is the 2017 Colorado and the 2017 RL. IIHS, for some reason, did not do a small overlap or the side impact test on the Colorado, so cant do a good comparison on it. Same applies to the 2017 Tacoma. I have mentioned it number of times about the experience with the 2016 Colorado for about 18K miles and my '10 Ridgeline. I have always felt safe and confident in the RL and has been the vehicle for our infant child.

Basically, it is very hard to get the crash test results of a unit-body construction out of a body-on-frame design. You will always have failure points are the anchor locations and the body/frame buckling & separation is very accentuated.
