2017 ridgeline leveling kit
Truxxx has confirmed they are making a leveling kit and a lift kit as well. They will let anyone that contacts them as soon as it is ready to go. If you fill out the contact form you can get put on a list and be sure to mention this forum and I was told we get a discount. Just go to the Truxxx website and fill out the contact form, just be sure to mention the ridgeline owners club forum! :smile:

I stayed out of the Jsport thread because I have no desire to lift my truck, but I will say that they have about the worst marketing angle I have ever seen. Instead of selling just the leveling kit directly to customers that already own a Ridgeline (which could be thousands), they decided to package it with bunch of expensive stuff that people didn't want (wheels, stickers) to a limited market (people currently shopping for a brand new Ridgeline) via a 3rd party (the dealer) that no one really wants to deal with in the first place.
Due to that stubbornness, they will miss being first to the market, pissed off the DIY guys that are likely to lift their truck in the first place, and will have to compete with the dozens of more well known companies (with much better distribution and advertising) that could easily add a RL leveling kit to their lineup.

After seeing the other thread, the leveled Ridgeline looks really cool.
Question, Any Downsides to doing this?
I'm guessing if you have a lot of weight in the back it would give a little less traction on the front, (I'm no engineer, just thinking basic physics) I could be very wrong.

Will this affect the warranty negatively?
No. The only thing they could try is if something with the suspension went wrong. Engine, electronics, a leveling kit has nothing to do with it. Even on the suspension they'd have to prove your leveling kit caused a suspension fault.Will this affect the warranty negatively?
Yes and No. If a issue arrises due to improper install , allignment, etc..the issues can be blamed on the lift itself or the installation..which would void the warranty on whatever suspension part is affected.Will this affect the warranty negatively?
So therefore, if you install the lift and the cv boots tear..it can be blamed on the increased angle the lift put on the cv axles.
Now if you go with the jsport kit...fully covered under any warranty purchased with the ridge.

No. There is no extra leverage applied to lessen the traction on front wheels. If you have the FWD only and you were in snow or sand ...then maybe cause it is trying to pull all the extra weight..lift or not.After seeing the other thread, the leveled Ridgeline looks really cool.

I just find it confusing that Jsport will not sell the leveling kit separately, They have already spent the Design, R&D and tooling money, so they have an investment they need to recover. The other three items, tires, wheel and decals are all items that are purchased then resold twice (read: marked up twice), once to Honda, then again to the end customer. I don't see where getting Honda to install all of them is an advantage as far a getting a warranty, the tires will wear out (like any other), the wheels should not have any problems (the original MFG should warranty them) and if the decals fade, who is going to have them re-installed? That leaves the leveling kit, if it is properly engineered/designed/fabricated (which I'm sure it is), there isn't anything to wear out in spacers. Is Honda going to give you $$ credit or the four sets of tires and wheels (take offs) that you would have normally received when purchasing the Ridgeline? I doubt it, that is another chunk of money you will loose.

Pretty much, and with a load in the bed it wouldn't look like it was squatting. So not so much as lowering the front but lifting the rear a little bit to have load capacity.Ok, so Honda lowered the front for style? possibly to MPG?

Only down side is extra cv boot wear and maybe a small amount of MPG decrease just like gen1.

But seriously, that was what I was asking, because it doesn't seem like most trucks have that rake, or maybe I haven't noticed enough.
So there is a real reason, not just someone's idea of styling. Which makes sense why you wouldn't do it, or more to the point why Honda did it to begin with.
I'm guessing it all comes down to what your intended purpose for the truck is, seems like I'll leave it raked.
Still waiting on the cover though....

My guess is the only thing truxxx will be able to do is lift the front by 1"
