That is an amazing price, from what other dealers & people on this site have told me. What area of the country are you in? Thanks for posting.
East TN. This forum was HEAVELY researched before I bought. I’m very thankful for the collective knowledge posted here. this is our first Honda and we hope it lasts and lasts and lasts.

If it’s exactly how you want it, I’d say you will be pleased. At first I thought I would wait till new model year comes out (thinking they’d be more willing to deal for the 2020), but with so many people out of work, I thought no, ones the time...

My local dealer is down to 8 RL's. At the beginning of the virus they had over 25 which included some 2019's. They are open by appointment only or via the web. Maybe it's not so bad out there or they are dealing.

Most dealers I've talked to say new car sales have been down by 50%. That's not nearly as bad as some expected, but when new inventory shipments are down 100%, even if sales were down 99%, that still means demand will exceed supply.

My local dealer has 713 new Hondas, which I think is on the higher side of average so surprised to see so few RL's left. When I was there for service a few weeks back the light's weren't even on. It's probably in my head but this dealer just took over the local Chevy dealer a few months back and there are Silverados all over the place here. I mean all over. I know that they are from this dealer because they put an attachment on the trailer hitch. Just feeling good as the Market is at a level around the beginning of 2019. Hoping it can hang here for a while.

Thank you to everyone who posted here. You really helped me in the negotiations. The information was invaluable, since many dealers were telling me this is an impossible deal. But many of you did even better, so I knew it was not impossible. Please accept a heart felt thank you!

I want to provide the details here before posting to “Actual prices paid ONLY - comments will be deleted”

I’ve attached the FinanceSheet & the SalesOrder so you can review the numbers and provide feedback. You guys know the purpose of the dealer is to make the process impossibly complicated with what I call their, “Magic boxes”. They try to hide all of these until the end, then pop goes the Weasel…the price is not the price. Of course the magic boxes are not the same on the FinanceSheet & SalesOrder, but the numbers still add up.

This dealer provided, all weather mats, locking wheels & front/rear splash guards in order to close the deal. They are not broken out separately on either the FinanceSheet or the SalesOrder. So I searched this forum to find the value.

I’ve provided 2 scenario breakouts here.

#1 Excludes Delivery Service Charge, includes value of accessories
Ref Finance Sheet Attachment
$41,075 Cash Price
$(2,272) Tax
$(70) Doc Stamps Tax
$(84) License Fee
$(178) All weather mats
$(179) Splash Guards
$(99) Wheel Locks
$38,193 Vehicle Purchase Price

#2 Includes Delivery Service Charge and includes Accessory value
Ref Sales Order Attachment
$41,229.36 Total Cash Price
$(55.00) 3rd party tag fee
$(5.00) New tire fee
$(1.50) Lead battery fee
$(2.00) Lemon law fee
$(84.35) Reg/License
$(70.00) Doc stamps (tax)
$(50.00) County Tax
$(2,322.06)Sales Tax
$(896.00) Delivery Service Charge
$(178) All weather mats
$(179) Splash Guards
$(99) Wheel Locks
$37,287.45 Vehicle Purchase Price

Hope this can help someone, because of all the help you provided me.

Rick

OldMac.....I too wound up in East Tennessee albeit a different dealer and got a ridiculous deal, plus my trade in price was very good. Their inventory of Ridgelines was just 3, but used cars.....nearly 600 vehicles.
