Hello all,

I finished installing the OEM running boards and roof racks. I noticed the drivers side board is rubbing against the plastic trims and the passenger side is not, has anybody else encountered this problem? Also, when trying to install the cross bars on the roof racks, the fit is so tight that you can’t slide them, they ended up scratching the roof rails in the part where they rub trying to push them in. This makes no sense since the parts are all OEM and the truck is brand new.

For the running boards.. is it possible you tightened everything in the order you assembled, rather than letting everything hang loose and finger-tightening each gradually so you have a nice aligned seating… Unless you have two brackets swapped (but I think that is tough to do). Otherwise that would be quite the deviation on your frame bolt patterns. If it is a flaw, I guess I’d reach out to your vendor with a photo for suggestions.

Can't help on the roof racks, but my aftermarket TAC El Cheapo running boards are aligned perfectly. but took some finagling As suggested loosen everything up and see if you have soma adjustment room - the brackets would be real hard to get mixed up but I guess its possible.

My biggest problem with the running boards is that they are manufactured too short on both ends, they should run from the wheel opening to wheel opening. This would stop the water/mud splashing up on the vehicle like seen in the pics. Also the Honda Mud Flaps would stop some of this, which I always buy both on my new trucks I purchase today. I do agree with others that the assembly process is probably where the tight fit occurred, there should be some adjustment for this even if you had to add some spacer washers for this to fit correctly. Newer had a roof rack, but as many as Honda has made for Ridgeline's, it probably has some adjustment also.
