A long overdue introduction....

Hi,

I joined ROC back near the end of October when I had started looking at the G2 Ridgeline as my first truck. My previous car, while a ton of fun, just wasn't terribly practical for around the house and supporting my hobbies. And while I've considered a truck on and off over the years, my "pampered butt" just couldn't put up with the "truckiness" of them to consider them a daily driver. I started seeing the positive auto press feedback of the G2.....which prompted me to start looking for more information and led me here to ROC. I've lurked here quietly since then and learned a tremendous amount of information from the community which only reinforced my belief that the Ridgeline was for me.

A couple of weeks ago, I decided it was time to become serious and started looking around at the Honda dealers in my area. I found three dealers with the Lunar Silver RTL-T AWD I was looking for and was able to secure one of them which came home with me.

So far, I am thrilled with my new Ridgeline. It "ticks all the boxes" for what I wanted in a utilitarian vehicle. it is comfy enough for daily driving, gets decent fuel mileage, transports the two dogs easily in the cab for family outings, and can haul and tow stuff for both work and fun. It's far more convenient/capable than what I would have ended up by getting either an SUV or minivan which the wife was pushing for. And while she was initially leaning anti-truck, she has warmed up to the Ridgeline as I had a quick and easy answer to each and every "gotcha" she threw at me.

I'm looking forward to a long happy relationship with my new truck and to spend time hanging out here at ROC to get to know everyone.

Roger

What a Boss looking ride! I like the term you used "ticks all the right boxes". I got a new to me 2008 RL last month and it seems to meet my needs and my wife likes it too. I'm new to the forum as well and look forward to your updates on how your G2 is working out.
Best,
Eric
Congrats on your RL and welcome to the ROC!
You bought the same trim and color I want. It looks great!
I got the same color and model....which just showed up at my dealer. Been trying to do an "introduction" on several occasions....but cannot get a title on a new tread. I guess I am tech challenged.

Anyway.....you have good taste. ;)
