Need something like a cell phone screen protector as a outer windshield layer that is a cheap tearaway when damaged.

Oh crap, I just invented it, will make a fortune! Ok, I only thought of it so far, has to be easy the design, produce, market and sell. Easy street, here I come!

I think I have seen something like that on race cars.

The Ridgeline windshield has struck me as being weak, or maybe it is its angle. I don't really know. I am on my third Ridgeline windshield and that is more than all of the windshields ever replaced in my previous vehicles collectively, which were driven in the same area and conditions.
