I am ski instructor who uses Ridge everyday to ski.
Had to modify;
truck lock
hard tonneau
and bed floor ( foam for 5 pairs of skis )
I also made a cover for wiper area so snow does not sneak INTO space.

I wish the Honda designers had done what the Volks people did, a extended ski bag into rear seats of car..
I simple removable wall to rear seats would have done.

Why not pre-drilled holes on side rails for ski racks.
I had to use a MIG welder to weld bolts inside/under the rails to have ski racks placed.
Still love the Ridge.

Lecky,
Ski rack on roof ?
Skiers who care for their skis never place exposed skis on roof. Salt, grime etc,,,

Ski bags on roof cause other issues.

If you wax your skis before skiing , you want "clean" skis on slope.

In my case I get several skis from ski companies to try. They are called "demo" skis. 5 pair on roof ?

All fit inside box.

Seems it would have been simple to have a "tunnel flap" to back seating section. I guess no Honda engineers ski !

I have a Thule from previous car.
I was hoping to place it on rails above tonneau.
Even designed for a machinist stainless steel bars for Thule. Only $100.

Thule too long.

I like a clean car.
Thule too long to place on roof.Too bad since it would have been "cool" with all ski stickers from all over the world.
90% of ski types ( 185 cm. ) fit into bed at a diagonal so just installed a locking mechanism and foam pads ( I do take care of my skis).

I wish Honda engineers and designers think a little about their target customer base. Active persons who need a flexible/practical truck with many "attachments" or bolts units to bolt on rails, bars etc,,,
