So after 12 years and thinking i was going to get a newer vehicle, i decided to keep the 06 Ridgeline. But now i now want to make it look better so i am doing some mods on it; bigger tires, lift kit, bull guard, roof rack, led lights...etc. Well after looking at the tire fit chart here in the forums, i decided to go with the 265/65/17 tires, i ordered them from Walmart because it was cheap. Big mistake. I went down and ordered them, they said it would be here in 3-4 days and they would call me. Well after a week and half went by with no contact i decided to call them. They said they had been trying to call me and that since they couldnt contact me they sent them back, these were Falken Wildpeak AT/3's. They did say that they will have them back within 2-3 days and they guy said he would personally call me. Well after 4 days i called them, the same guy said they JUST came in! LOL. So ya. Well i went down to Walmart and the counter person printed up my work order to get them installed with road hazard options. All was good, i moved my vehicle to the garage bay, the attendant came out, looked it over and said it will be about 3 hours, there were a few cars ahead of me. um nooo. im not going to wait 3 hours so i told him i'd be back. Came back the next day, different guy said it will be about 3 hours. um no again. he did tell me to come early in the morning as this was my best bet. so i arrive the next day at 7am sharp. i'm the second in line. Guy comes out looks over the paperwork, all it good! tell me to pull to the center bay. He gets the tires, vin, checks the mileage, then proceeds to tell me that Walmart doesn't install bigger tires than the ones currently on the vehicle. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! He said i could take the tires and get them install somewhere else. I said no, that was the point of me getting these tires here because the install and road hazard warranty was so cheap. So i left, didn't take the tires. All i was out was time. Went to Discount Tire, told them what i wanted. The guy sold me on my second choice Hankook Dynapros, but then showed me the Pathfinder AT's. They looked very similar. Now the Pathfinders are exclusive to Discount Tire and are made by Hankook. so Great! I spent a little more than Walmart, but I won't be going there again. So lesson learned, don't go to Walmart for a bigger tire purchase. next up Lift Kit install.

Thank you for posting your experience. The Pathfinder tires get a lot of good reviews. If you would please let us know your thoughts on them when you get some miles on them.

We appreciate your support.

Non stock tires are exclusive installs by custom shops or private shops that have a disclaimer you would have to sign......... essentially renouncing yourself from holding the installer at fault of anything that comes down the road (pun intended). That said, I had my 7% oversize tire at American Tire (NJ small chain) with no problem. Walmart is dicey as my dad got his tires (for his Fit) and they broke the TPMS sensor somehow. Obviously you need to claim that before you leave the property, and he told me a week later which was too late. Though I would not mind ordering from Walmart, I would not have them install it. I would spend the $20 a wheel to get it installed at my own place of choice.

After the summer, I will be needing some tires so I am seriously thinking of giving Discount Tires a shot.
