Aftermarket Camera Options

I'm in the initial stage of considering the installation of a camera system for my non-Nav Ridge but I have no specific system in mind. Under consideration is a HitchCAM, a generic flush mount on the bumper or tailgate, a permanent mount to the hitch, and a flush mount in a tail light lense. I prefer that the camera isn't too visible/obnoxious for aesthetic reasons and to discourage theft.

I will appreciate all feedback from those who have installed non-Honda camera systems (even on vehicles other than a Ridgeline) and from anyone who has feedback on the various options that are available. I am also interested in how well the various cameras perform in bad weather (particularly in the winter when there's a lot of slush on the road).

Thanks in advance!

That looks interesting. I wonder if it could be integrated into the existing NAV system for those who have it.
Here's a link to a thread I started a while ago. It's got pictures of my monitor and "Plate Cam" mounted as a license plate bracket.

Thanks for the link, jam. I must have missed your thread when searching the boards.

My only concern with a plate cam is that it will be easy pickin's for thieves. So far, I'm leaning toward the HitchCAM because it can be locked onto the hitch and I will rarely use the hitch to tow anything. I like your monitor!
